Miracles, They Still Happen! Something To Think About!

Miracles, they still happen! I know, because I see them all the time! I’ve been in revival with Pastor Jay in Chelsea, Oklahoma since Sunday. There has been 51 decisions made for our Lord and 8 or 9 of those have been professions of faith.

Fifty one decisions, fifty one miracles! Fifty one miracles because God is the only one who can forgive sin! If you are a child of God you are blessed! You have been bought with a price and you are to glorify God in your body!

God is so good to this former Georgia farm boy! The things I’ve seen God do in my lifetime is extraordinary! The older I get the more I realize what God has done for me, my family, and friends.

I must brag on God and lift Him up before men, because He is worthy of that and much more! He is my King and I thank Him for what He’s doing in my life, this ministry, and in the lives of others! Let’s praise Him, for He is most definitely worthy of all praise!

Gloom and Doom! Something To Think About! February 7, 2012

Gloom and doom! I’m unhappy and I want everyone to know it. I’m having a down in the mouth party and those I know are invited! Come and celebrate with me in my misfortune. I want you to pity me and look at me with puppy dog eyes and tell me everythings gonna be all right!

Gloom and doom Christians, they’re everywhere! There’s no victory in their lives and there’s certainly no joy! What a slap in the face to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

John 17:13 says, And now I come to you, that these things I speak in the world, that they might have joy fulfilled in them.

Brothers and sisters, God does not want us to be gloom and doom, long-faced solemn Christians. He came that our lives might be filled with joy, His JOY! God loves you today and desires to have fellowship with you and me! Just to think about that brings joy to this old boys heart! But a smile on your face and let others see Jesus in you!

If This Doesn’t Light Your Shucks, Your Wood’s All Wet! Something To Think About!

I want to share something with you today that will thrill you to death. Here it is! The Lord Jesus talked to the Father about you today, if you are His!

John 17:9 says, “I pray for them, I pray not for the world, but for them who you have given me, for they are mine!

You see, Jesus doesn’t pray for the world, He died for it, but He talks to God the Father about the ones who know Him!

He prays for two things: 1. He prays that we’ll be kept! You will be kept because you’ve been sealed by the Holy Spirit and because your Saviour is praying for you. 2. He prays for the unity of believers. He prays to the Father that those of us who know Him might be one and it doesn’t matter if we’re Baptist, Methodist, or Church of Christ!

John 17:11, And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.  Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are one!

He’s praying for you and me. If this doesn’t light your shucks, you’re woods all wet!

He’s Everywhere! Something To Think About!

John 16:7, Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you: but if I depart, I will send him to you.

The disciples of Jesus wondered by he had to leave. It’s simple, if he was still here in his earthly body he couldn’t be everywhere. In other words, if he were staying the night in Houston at the Comfort Inn he couldn’t be at the Days Inn in Georgia!

Since he went away, he’s everywhere. He’s here with me in this recliner as I type this devotional on my computer. He’s with my brother and sister in Georgia. He’s with my boys in Oklahoma City and he’s with you everyday, every step of the way if your his child!

Imagine, the Savior of the world living inside each believer. He sees what we do and he hears what we say, even a whisper in someones ear! He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and He downright AWESOME! Let’s praise him for his goodness!

The Greatest Sin! Something To Think About!

This morning when I got up I glanced at the newspaper that was in a basket in the bathroom. I saw two words, murder and rape. I thought to myself, man, how in the world could any person treat another person so terribly bad!

I then proceeded to my recliner to read God’s Word. John 16:8 says, “And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: Of sin, because they believe not on Me!

Murder and rape are not the greatest sins in the world. The greatest sin in the world today is unbelief in Jesus and the greatest sinners are those who’ve never trusted in Him!

The man or woman today, whoever he or she is, if they are rejecting Jesus Christ, in the sight of God, they are the greatest sinners of all! All people have a decision to make. Will I trust God or will I not? Let’s pray that they will!

By the way, I’ve trusted in Jesus but their have been times in the past I’ve not trusted Him completely. I’ve allowed fear and doubt to enter my heart and mind about his provision. Fear and doubt is me not believing in Him to take care of me and my family and that is just as bad. I’m A Rascal!
