Mark 3:9, Mary brought a box of very expensive ointment, broke it and poured it on the head of Jesus.
Some got ticked off because of this and said it should have been sold and given to the poor.
Jesus told them to leave her alone because they would always have the poor with them, but not him.
He said, “She has done what she could, she has anointed my body for burying!”
She had done what she could and that’s all that God ask of us!
He was pleased with her because of this. Are you doing all you can for The Lord today?

I was told not to long ago that one sign of a mature church was the way people gave!
My question is this and it’s two fold, “Does God look at how much money we put in the offering plate, or does He look at how much we keep for ourselves?”
Mark 12:41-42, And Jesus sat against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And there came a certain widow, and she put in two copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Jesus said to His disciples, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others!”
(Humility) Our natural tendency is to promote ourselves because we want others to think well of us. Yet God wants us to take our eyes off of ourselves and to look to Him. If we will act humbly, God will work powerfully through us. (LUKE 14:11)

The first step of prayer is faith!
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But, without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek Him!”
If a person doesn’t believe in God, then the skeptic is right when he says that prayer is a madman talking to himself!

Do you ever think about dying? It may sound morbid to you, but I do at times.
I wander when it’s going to take place and how!
At one time in my life the thought of dying scared me to death!
Not any more, for God has given me a peace about all that.
You see, I know as soon as it happens I’m gonna be in the presence of my Lord.
I’ll be in a perfect place where there’s no pain and suffering! I’ll be in a place where the street is made of gold and the gates are made of pearls! I’ll be where my Lord is because of what He did for me on the cross at Calvary!
Jesus died so that we could live! He’s the ticket to heaven!

When a person is saved they receive a robe of righteousness which comes down on them because they’ve placed their faith in Jesus.
