Update From Georgia!

Hello Friends,

Last week I was at Bristol Baptist Church in Bristol, Georgia!

I did Children’s Worship Wednesday Night, a program Saturday Night and preached Sunday Morning!

Sunday morning seven people walked the aisle making different decisions for our Lord!

This past week I did a school program for Second Baptist Church in Waycross!

Last night I was at Second Baptist doing an AWANA Program and I’ll be back there Sunday!

Last night there were twenty five professions of faith and most of those were teenagers!

This morning I left Blackshear at 2:45 am and I’m now sitting in the Jacksonville Airport in Florida!

Going home to see my bride and two girls!

Y’all be blessed and thanks for your prayers!

Pants Down!

As I travel the country I see young men everywhere walking around with their pants below their rumps!

As they walk they have to hold their pants up with one hand in the front!

I told Robin one day if they every got into a fight they’d really take a beating! You can’t fight with one hand holding onto your pants!

Yet, that is what we do as Christians! God says for us to get up and put on the Armour of God!

The most important part of God’s armour is the girdle because it holds everything in place!

If we don’t have the girdle on when we enter into a spiritual battle it’s like trying to fight holding our pants up with one hand and that just doesn’t work!

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…Ephesians 6:14A

A Question We Should Ask Ourselves Daily!

Slavery in the South is not dead! You see it everywhere! You see it on the news and on the street corners!

People are enslaved to drugs, booze, and sex! They are enslaved to food, recreation and sports!

Once we come to know Christ we become His bond servants and we are to obey Him and Him only!

The question we should ask our heavenly master everyday is this, “Lord, what would you have me do?” Acts 6:9

Ask, Listen, And Obey!

A Spot Remover!

Jesus loves the church and gave Himself for it, that is in the past!

Let me remind you that the church is not a building, it is you and I!

In the present He is sanctifying the church with the water of the Word of God!

God’s Word, the Bible is the greatest cleaning agent known to man!

It is better than Ajax or Bleach and it will remove the toughest stains!

The Word of God will not only take out the spots, but it will keep you from getting further spots in the future!

This is why I encourage folks to make it a habit of reading God’s Word daily!

Be blessed as you spent time alone with our Lord!

Radiate!

Ephesians 5:18, And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit!

Many believers need an attitude adjustment, but they don’t need the spirits that come from a bottle to accomplish this!

What they need is a good dose of the Holy Spirit so that they might radiate the Joy of the Lord in their lives!

As Christians we should not have a gloom and doom attitude! We are to have fun because the joy of the Lord fills our hearts and lives!

I’m A Georgian and Proud Of It!

I was in New York City a few years back and I went out to eat with Pastor Daniel!

While the waitress was taking our order she asked me this question, “You’re not from here are you?” You see, my speech game me away! As a matter of fact she guessed that I was from the deep south!

When people observe your life would they know you are a Christian? You see, as believers we are to walk in this world as though we belong to Christ!

Friends, we ought to walk in a certain way that those around us should know we’re a child of God without having to ask!

We all need to look carefully at how we walk!

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise… Ephesians 5

24/7

We as Christians are to walk in the light of the Lord 24/7!

You might ask, “What does it mean to do that?”

God gives us a description of it from the Bible!

God’s Word says we are to walk in kindness, in goodness, in righteousness, and in truth, which is sincerity and genuineness!

This should be the way we walk 7 days a week and not only on Sunday!

It Means 24/7!

Tom, Dick and Harry!

When a young lady is engaged she has no interest for her old boyfriends!

She won’t be going out with Tom tonight, Dick tomorrow night, or Harry the next!

She has found her true love and her mind is on him and him only!

How can we who are engaged to Christ live as the world lives!

We are to act, think, talk, and treat others differently because we are engaged to our Lord Jesus Christ!

Paul wrote in Corinthians, “…for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ”
