A Life Pleasing To God! Something To Think About!

Ephesians 5:18, And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit!

If you’re life and my life is going to please God, we must live in the power of the Holy Spirit!

We must be willing to do what He wants instead of what We want! This means, denying our old sinful nature, which we still own after our salvation, and trying to live a Godly life with the help of the Holy Spirit!

Do You Love Me? Something To Think About!

Our Lord asked Simeon Peter, “Do You Love Me?” This is the same question He ask you and me today!

We show our love to Christ by our obedience to Him!

It’s one thing to say we love Him but it’s another thing to put it into action!

J. Vernon McGee says, I do not work my soul to save; That work my Lord has done. But I will work like any slave, for love of God’s dear Son!

Confess It NOW! Something To Think About!

I John 1:9, “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!”

We can’t have fellowship with God unless we confess our sins as we meander through the day! Our part is confession, His part is cleansing!

The important thing for any Christian is to have fellowship with the Lord Jesus daily and to obey Him. It is only then that we can say we’re living the Christian life!

Who’s Your Master? Something To Think About!

Romans 6:16, Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to who ye obey: whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.

Every person living is a slave to someone or something. We are either slaves to sin or slaves to the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul says the one we obey is our master.

If you are living in sin don’t say that Christ is your master because He isn’t! So, the question we should ask ourselves today is this, “Is Christ really our Master?”

You might say, I don’t lie, I don’t commit murder and I don’t steal! You may be living a good life, but that is all. The Christian life is one where we are obeying Christ. Are you a slave to Christ or a slave to sin?

I Yield! Something To Think About!

Romans 6:13 says, Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Yield means to present yourself and we are to surrender our lives to the Lord! We should not, and don’t have to give into sin. The reason most of us get into trouble is because we yield ourselves to the old nature which we’ll have with us until the day we die!

Although we still have the old nature, we are told now to yield ourselves to the Lord as those that are alive from the dead. We are now alive in Christ, we have a new nature because we’ve been born again.

We have two choices to make daily! Are we going to yield to the old nature and do what we want, or, are we going to yield to the new nature and do what Christ wants?

Is He Lord? Something To Think About!

Corinthians 6:19 says, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Once we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour He makes His home in us. He moves in, cleans up the place and expects us to keep it clean. He doesn’t want us to dirty up His new home with filthy sin!

Sin can enter our lives through the eyes, ears, mouth, mind, and attitude, that’s why it’s important for God to be the Lord of them all! God’s desire is to be Lord of all but we must decide daily to allow Him to be so!

Termites! Something To Think About!

Yesterday I found out from Robin that we may have termites! We had no idea that these little bugs were in the wall of our house eating away because the walls on the outside look OK!

Termites reminds me of sin in a Christians life. Some Christians look perfectly fine on the outside but on the inside they’re being eaten up with anger, guilt, and bitterness.

The good news is, God is like an exterminator. He wants to get rid of the termites in our lives that is destroying our relationship with Him and others.

All ya gotta do is call on the name of the Lord and ask Him for help! He’ll immediately perform an extermination and the termites in your life will be gone, and guess what? It want cost ya a dime, it’s free!

Joy! Something To Think About!

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received forgiveness. Romans 5:11

I believe this is one of the most wonderful statements made in God’s Word. It simply means that right now, whatever your problems are, wherever you are, you can have joy and rejoice in God!

Just think, you can rejoice in the fact that He lives and that He is who He is and that He loves you more than anyone on the face of God’s green earth. As a matter of fact He’ll love you no matter what you say or do! You can’t keep Him from loving you!

Because of this we can rejoice when we find out about termites in the house. We can rejoice when we are sicker than a dog! We can rejoice in trials and tribulation! Today, rejoice in the salvation of your Lord!

Tent Revival Update From Faxon, Oklahoma!

The tent revival in Faxon, Oklahoma last night ended with a blast. I preached about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During the invitation over 50 people walked the aisle making a decision for our Lord. I don’t know how many of them were  salvations or re-dedications! Pastor Floyd Allen will let me know that today and then I’ll pass the information on to you!

I thank you for your prayers during this revival. All week long there was a resistance and a battle going on! God prevailed like He always does and will! Here, there, or in the air!
