First Baptist Church, Blair, Oklahoma

Hello Friends,

I started revival services yesterday at First Baptist Church in Blair, Oklahoma. There were 12 decisions made for our Lord and one of them was a profession of faith.

Pastor Randy wasn’t there yesterday. He’d just gotten out of the hospital from having a kidney stone removed. Please pray for a speedy recovery!

God is so good and I want to give Him the praise and glory for the things happening at First Baptist. Here, there, or in the air!

Are You Growing Spiritually?

Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus saith unto them I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” (John 6:32-35)

For the believer to grow spiritually and be like Jesus Christ they must feed on Christ daily!FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailShare

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter To All! Luke 24:6 says, “He is not here, but is risen!”

Today, Christians everywhere celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The message is, He suffered, He bled, and He died! They put Him in the tomb for three days and then He came out of that tomb having victory over death and the grave!

It’s because of this that we celebrate! Today, many people will be in church for the first time this year. Many of them say they know Jesus, but I’m afraid many of them do not!

Pray that these people who attend church services only once or twice a year will truly see their need for the Lord. Pray that souls would be saved and lives changed today!

Dwight L. Moody made this comment. “He who is born once will die twice; he who is born twice will die once, and if the rapture occurs during his lifetime, he won’t even have to die one time!”

There’s Something Wrong!

This past week at Lakeview Baptist Church in Longview, Texas 64 people walked the aisle making some type of decision for our Lord. Seven of those people came for salvation!

The rest came rededicating their lives to the Lord. These people were basically saying that they have been saved but their relationship with the Lord wasn’t right. Some even said they had left their first love!

In other words they had lost that intense and enthusiastic devotion to the person of Christ. You may realize that’s you today. If it is, the Lord is waiting on you to come home.

Acts 3:19 says, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord!”

Do You Remember?

Revelation 2:5 says, “Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first!”

“Remember.” That is the first thing they should do. Memory is a wonderful thing. Someone has said that God has given us memories so that we can have roses in December when it’s cold outside.”

Do you remember when your were saved? Do you remember how excited your were to tell others about what Jesus had done for you? Do you remember the excitement you had when you were baptized?

How’s your relationship with the Lord now? Are you still excited, or are you cold and indifferent to Him? Remember where you once were. You can get back to that same place. Getting there is up to you!

Lakeview Baptist Church Revival Final Update!

Hello Friends,

I finished revival meetings at Lakeview Baptist Church in Longview, Texas yesterday.

The people there are very warm, loving people. They love their pastor as well as our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit showed up as expected and did a mighty work. Sixty four people walked the aisle making some type of decision for the Lord, and seven of those were professions of faith.

God continues to use me in spite of myself. He’s a gracious God and I must give Him the praise and glory for it all!

I also want to thank you for praying for me as I’m on the road, and as I speak to folks in different churches. I truly believe God takes notes of your prayers. I also believe our Lord deposits a blessing in your  account located in glory!

The Sun Reflects Light!

Our lives should reflect Jesus just like the sun reflects light!

Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden!”

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Why? So That Others Might Be Saved! Our Lord says in Acts 13:47, “For this is what the Lord commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

People not only hear what we say but they watch the way we live. We should live Christlike lives so that others may see Jesus in us! Who knows, they may decide to want what we have!FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailShare

Is He Twidding His Thumbs?

Do you ever wonder what Jesus is doing right now! Scripture does not leave us in the dark concerning this.

The Bible says that Jesus is in heaven making intercession for us. He is praying for you and for me. This absolutely blows me away!

Secondly, He have the intervention of Christ. He washes those who confess their sins! Christians have sin, and those sins must be confessed in order to have fellowship with Him. He has His towel and basin and He intervenes on our behalf!

The next thing I’m going to share isn’t very popular among churches or individuals. He is an inspector. He inspects you and me. He inspects us to see if we are doing what we want to do or if we’re doing the things that pleases Him!

He makes intercession, intervenes and inspects. He does this to demonstrate His great love for us! Praise God for His love, mercy, and grace!FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailShare

The Bubba Adventure Update – Lakeview Baptist Church, Longview, Texas

God is so good. Yesterday at Lakeview Baptist Church the Holy Spirit showed up and went to work in the hearts and lives of people there.

During every invitation we expect people who have made decisions to make those decisions public. After all, Jesus died on the cross publicly, He didn’t die behind close doors or drawn curtains.

Yesterday, 37 people walked the aisle making some type of decision for our Lord, two of those were professions of faith.

I praise God for His mercy and grace. He is the King of Kings and I’m honored to serve Him!

No Connection!

I’m sitting in the lobby at the Baymont in Longview, Texas once again. Even though they moved me closer to the lobby where the router is my computer still can’t connect to their wireless internet . They tell me it may be because of micro wave ovens being used! I have no idea.

Have you ever felt that you’re not making a connection with God when you pray? I have, and it’s frustrating. You begin to think that the one who created you isn’t listening.

If that’s the case, it’s not God’s fault, it’s yours and mine. Usually when I feel that way there’s sin in my life that I’m unwilling to confess and get rid of. You see, my sin keeps me from hearing from the one who created me.  Sin is something God cannot and will not tolerate!

Lamentations 3:40 says, “Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord!”
