The Bubba Adventure Update – Monday Night At FBC, In Stroud, OKlahoma

Hello Everyone,

Things were hopping in Stroud, Oklahoma last night at First Baptist Church. The Holy Spirit showed up and did some wonderful things.

I preached about two men at a crossroads. These two men were the ones hanging on the cross with Jesus. One made a bad choice and the other made the best choice of His life by accepting the Lord as his Saviour!

During the invitation time 19 people walked the aisle making some type of decision for our Lord. Four of them came making a profession of faith just like the thief did!

This should make you want to stand up, spin around and shout! There’s nothing like seeing and hearing about God performing miracles in the hearts and lives of people!

We have two more nights of revival here. Please pray that souls would be saved and lives changed!

I’ll cya here, there, or in the air!

Don’t Be Taken In!

The Bible says, “Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven!”

Don’t be taken in by every Tom, Dick, and Harry who says they are a Christian because many of them are not. And don’t be taken in by every Pastor or Evangelist.  Some who say they are Christians and teachers of the Word are more dangerous than rattlesnakes. Just because they carry a Big Bible under their arms and stand behind a pulpit doesn’t mean they know the Lord!

The Bible says you will know them by their fruits! The fruits of the spirit is found in the Book of Galatians. They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control!

The Bubba Adventure Update – First Baptist Church, Stroud, Oklahoma

Hello Friends,Yesterday was a great day for out Lord at First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. We’re having church services in the Family Life Center because the sanctuary is being remodeled.I will say this, “It doesn’t matter where you have church services because God will always show up if you expect Him to!”I always go into a revival meeting expecting God to save souls and change lives and He’s never once let me down.Yesterday there were 30 decisions made for our Lord and four of those were professions of faith. There was an 18 year old girl there last night who came because she had seen me at Children’s Falls Creek when she was eleven or twelve. She came with her boyfriend who didn’t know Jesus at the time. Praise God, He came to know Him before He left the services! We have revival meetings tonight, tomorrow night and Wednesday night. PLease join with me in prayer, as we pray and expect God to change the hearts of men, women, boys and girls!

A Knew Birth, A New Beginning!

This morning, a little after 12 midnight God bless Robin and I with our fifth grandchild. Her name is Harper and the proud parents are Caleb and Lindsie who live in Oklahoma City. Now, little Harper didn’t decide to be born. She’s here because her mom and dad loves each other, and that’s what God wanted, and we are thankful for that!

As she grows and matures she’ll have to decide if she wants to accept Jesus or not. When she does, she’ll be born into the kingdom of God. This week in Faxon, Oklahoma at Faxon Baptist Church five people have been saved, they’ve been born again.

A person is born again when they accept Jesus Christ into their hearts. If you’ve never been born again you can be today. Talk to the Lord and tell Him you’re a sinner. Ask Him to forgive  you for all sin, the sin you remember and the sin you don’t remember.  Ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Saviour. If you say a prayer like that and truly mean it, He’ll save you!

Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved!”

Can A Christian Sin And Be Happy?

Can a person who says they know the Lord commit sin and be happy? Let me say this, I’m a very happy person, but I know that sometimes throughout this day I’ll probably commit a sin! Now, let me also say this, I don’t have to commit sin because Jesus Christ has set me free from the power of sin.

Committing sin is a choice that you and I make and it saddens me when I sin because I know it saddens my heavenly Father.

The key to being a happy Christian is taking your sin and giving it to the Lord immediately! Some Christians fall into sin like a pig in a pig pen and they roll around in it for a while.  They do this because they like it. A true believer will not stay in the pig pen for long because that’s not where they belong. If they stay there, they never knew the Lord at all!

The believer who abides in Christ does not practice sin, he doesn’t live in it. God provides the power to deliver from the habit of sinning.

I John 3:6 says, “Whosoever abides in Him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen Him, neither do they know Him!”FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailShare

Why I Do What I Do!

Hello Friends,

Yesterday I was at a little church in Faxon, Oklahoma. Their enrollment in Sunday School is 36 and there was 35 in attendance.

Usually on a Sunday morning they have 30 to 35 in the worship services. Yesterday there was 66. I was told the old record of 60 has now been broken.

On Sunday night they usually have 15 in the worship service. Last night there was 48.

During the services yesterday 19 people walked the aisle and made some type of decision for our Lord. I do know that one of them came for salvation.

Now get this, a couple was there that has been divorced for a while. During the invitation she walked the aisle rededicating her life to our Lord. We’re praying now that her former husband does the same thing.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they got back together?

Last night a teenager walked the aisle, She’d been at odds with the pastor for months because of camp t-shirts. She’d been a fantastic leader in the youth group but she’d stopped attending. She came forward broken, with tears streaming down her face. She asked the pastor to forgive her as they both prayed and embraced one another.

This is why I do what I do. I thank all of you for being a part of this ministry. I thank you for your love, support and prayers.

Be Blessed. I’ll Cya here, there, or in the air! Pastor Gene (AKA, Bubba)

Three Words That Tell Our Story!

Have you ever done something that was wrong or said something that hurt someones feelings and wondered why you did it? The answer is, You’re A Sinner!

Isaiah 53:6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all!” Everyone has turned to his own way. Those three words tell our story, “His Own Way!” What’s you’re problem? What’s my problem? We want our own way and we want it now!

A little baby is in his crib bawling at the top of his lungs. He doesn’t care if you sleep or I sleep. He’s pottied his diaper or he’s starving to death. What’s wrong with the little fellow? He wants his own way!

Everyone is born with that old sin nature, but praise God we don’t have to live in it. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us so that He might deliver us from the power of sin right here and now! Praise God for His mercy, grace, and goodness!

God’s Love, Shout It From The Roof Top!

I John 3:1 says, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him!”

I am a child of God and I’m downright proud of it. I’m not afraid any longer to take a stand for my Lord like I once was!He has died for me and He has died for you! This is the message we should be shouting from the roof top!
