Ears, Eyes, Mouth, Hands, Feet, and Tippy Toes!

Folks, we all have bodies and attached to those bodies are different parts. I hear with my ears, see with my eyes, talk with my mouth, walk on my feet, tip toe on my toes and point and pick my nose with my fingers.

Let’s say my mind told my feet to move so that I could walk and my feet decided they were not going to listen. Man, that would tick me off and it would tick you off to.

The Bible says we as Christians are one body but there are many members. Each member of that body has a special job to do, and when that person decides they aren’t going to do what God says it hurts the entire body of believers.

The thing we need to realize is this, Christ is the Head of the body, His church, and we are under Him, and we should be obedient to Him!

Let’s Show Compassion When Someone Stumbles And Falls!

Once you’re saved Jesus will be with you for life. When you stumble and fall down, He Does Not Fall, He Is There To Pick You Up, Brush You Off, So That You Can Start All Over Again!

Peter denied the Lord three times and when the Lord had risen from the dead He met with Peter privately. He picked him up, brushed him off, and Peter started all over again.

Peter had stumbled, he had made a big blunder. I wonder what I would have done back in the day concerning Peter. I don’t think I would have been so understanding! When a brother or sister falls this is what scripture says we need to do!

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such and one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

Remember My Friends, We all stumble and fall. Let’s have compassion on those who do for we might need some compassion one day!

24/7

Robin and I have raised six kids and we now have nine grand babies. There is something I noticed they all had in common. When they started trying to walk they’d fall down. Oh, some of them would cry, but they’d always try again until they got it down.

We as Christians are to walk in the Spirit. This doesn’t come natural for us and many of us stumble and fall. When you stumble and fall my friends don’t lay there and moan and groan. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off. and get back in the saddle again!

I want to let you in on a secret. I’m 60 years old and I’m still trying to learn how to walk in the Spirit. I fall everyday, but I’m a determined old coot who refuses to give up!

You see, it doesn’t matter if you’re a young buck, an old buck, or ancient, when you fall, you simply get up, brush yourself off, and start all over again!

Be Blessed Y’all!

This I say, Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. To Walk In The Spirit You Must Surrender To Him 24/7

Is Cuddling Wrong?

Good Morning My Friends,

In years pass I’d go to bed determined to get up early the next morning to read my Bible. The alarm clock would go off and I’d just lay there like a slug cuddling with Robin. Now, cuddling with Robin isn’t bad, but when the cuddling keeps me from getting my keister out of bed to read my Bible, it’s wrong.

Scripture talks about the Lust Of The Flesh. These are things that take the place of spiritual things.

Hobbies, art, music, and work are just a few I’ll mention. How about the idiot box, the TV. Now, there’s nothing wrong with watching TV, unless it takes the place of you having your Quiet Time or going to church. (Staying Home To Watch The Super Bowl Is A Prime Example!)

Galatians 5:17, For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Remember this, if what you are doing is taking you away from that which is spiritual, It Is Wrong!

Be blessed y’all!

Exodus 34:14, For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Nineteen Chose The Best Road!

Hello Friends,

This past weekend I was at FBC in Antlers, Oklahoma. On Saturday night I did an Upwards Ceremony for their children. During the invitation we saw 19 kids give their lives to Jesus.

On Sunday morning I was allowed to do the Children’s Sermon and I talked with them about prayer and what it was.

Pastor Aaron preached about Two Roads. He said there is a “Good Road” and then there is the “Best Road.”

He said that many Christians are traveling the “Good Road” but they aren’t traveling the “Best Road.” The “Best Road” is when we are truly Abiding In Christ.”

What road are you on today my friends?

Romans 7:24. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

No Racial Lines!

I was raised down South and back in the day some white folks hated black folks, and some black folks hated white folks. I hate to admit it but things are still that way today.

I truly believe God loves us all equally. I believe that we are all precious in God’s sight.

Galatians 3:28, There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

In Christ there is no racial lines. Any man in Christ is my brother, and any woman in Christ is my sister, and I don’t care about the color of their skin. It is the color of their heart that concerns me!

God does not prefer a man over a woman. He can do what women’s lib could never do. He makes us one in Christ!

He Will Not Let You Fall!

Robin and I have six children, three boys and three girls. When they were small I’d play a simple game with them. Well, it was simple to me, but very difficult for them.

I’d put them on the kitchen counter, take three or four steps back, and tell them to jump to me.

Man, did they hesitate! You could see it on their faces that they wanted to jump, but they were not quite sure about the whole ordeal.

Once they jumped the first time and saw the old man wasn’t going to drop them they wore me out playing that game.

Don’t we do the same thing with our heavenly Father. He tells us to do certain things, and we want to do it, but there’s that hesitation!

After we decide to obey Him we soon realize that what He has asked us to do wasn’t that difficult after all.

Whatever God wants you to do today let me encourage you to take a deep breath and jump into it with both feet.

He Will Not Let You Fall!

The Holy Spirit Guarantees Our Inheritance!

Good Morning Friends,

I was visiting with my aunt one day and we were talking about going to heaven. She said, “Well, I hope I make it there!”

This response shocked me because she had claimed to be a Christian all her life. As a matter of fact, when the church house doors were open she was there.

I asked her, “Don’t you know?” She said, “I think so!”

How sad this made me as I left her house that day. Folks, you shouldn’t be wandering where you’re going if you know Jesus.

Ephesians 1:13-14

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory.

Are you getting what this verse says? When we are saved we are marked with a seal, His Seal, and we have the promise of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit guarantees our inheritance!

Be blessed y’all!

That Dreadful Day!

When Jesus was dying on the cross many people walked by making fun of Him, some even spit on the man.

On that dreadful day some turned to Christ and many rejected Him. There were many in the crowd that day who hated Him and He knew it and He even knew who they were!

He could have come off the cross that day and got revenge, but He did not.

Instead of revenge He prayed, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing!”

Friends, please listen, we as Christians still make fun of Him at times. When we sin, and He convicts us of that sin and we refuse to ask for forgiveness that’s just as bad as making fun of Him.

When we don’t obey Him it’s just as bad as us spitting in His face!

When we don’t spend time with Him daily we are rejecting Him!

You see, we’re no different than the religious Pharisees who did all those dreadful things to Him that day as He hung on the cross at Calvary.

Now, here’s the good part y’all. That same Jesus who prayed for them that day as He hung on the cross dying, is the same Jesus that is praying for us today!

Shoot, You Can’t Beat That With A Stick! Rejoice, Again I Say Rejoice!
