Tragedy! Sooner Or Later It Hits Ya!

Tragedy, we’ve all experienced it! Tragedy may come in the death of a loved one or finding out you have terminal cancer. It may come in the form of being served divorce papers from a spouse you thought you’d be with for the rest of your life.

If you’re going through a tragic situation right now you don’t have to go through it alone. God is there and His desire is to give you peace and comfort!

Remember, God does not give us what we can handle, God helps us handle what we are given! I remember the day the doctor told me I’d had a heart attack. It was six years ago, I’d eaten right, exercised daily, but there I sat in the emergency room in Houston, TX.  Genetics will get ya sooner or later!

I’ll never forget the look on Robins face, and for some reason being given the news didn’t surprise me. The first thing I asked the doctor was, “What do we need to do about this thing?” In that room I felt God’s presence more than I had in a long time. I had a peace that passes all understanding!

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.”
