I knew a lady once who told me she’d never forgive another person for what they did to her! I said, “What if they came to your house and got on their hands and knees and begged for your forgiveness?” She said, “there’s no way!”

Unforgiveness is like a cancer and it will eat you alive. It will destroy your relationship with others and it will destroy your relationship with the Lord!

What if the Lord didn’t forgive us for the things we did to Him! You might say, “Well, I’m not the Lord!” You’re right, you’re not, but if you’re a Christian you are to be like Him!

You might say, “I’ll forgive, but by golly I’m not going to forget!” Let me say to you then, “That’s not forgiving!” When God forgives, He forgets!”

Ephesians 4:32, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you!

I’ve heard and read about some low down dirty people. People who steal, kill and destroy the lives of others. All ya got to do is turn on the TV and listen to the news!

I get down right angry at what’s going on in this country. Some of these people who kill others at the drop of a hat has no sense of value concerning human life!

Only the Lord Jesus can put any value on a person. I’m not worth a hill of beans but the Lord paid a tremendous price for my redemption!

Jesus paid it all. All to Him I owe. Sin has left a crimson stain. He washed it white as snow! I thank God for saving a sinner like me!

I want to let all of you in on a secret. I wasn’t the best husband and dad I should have been in my younger years. There were times I didn’t act like Jesus, look like Jesus and think like Jesus. I blew it boy and I know I blew it.

Today, there are consequences that stem from the way I acted and the things I said. I’m not as close to some of my children as I’d like because of that nonsense.

The problem was, I wasn’t walking with the Lord. If we as adults  had a proper relationship with God, we would not have the problem with young people that exist today.

I’m not saying that young people aren’t pains in the rump because some of them are. But in my case, my kids would have been a whole lot better off if there dear old dad had stayed close to the Lord!

There are many denominations across the country. You have the Baptist, Church of Christ, Methodist, Lutherans and the list goes on and on and we all disagree on some parts of doctrine.

Here’s one thing I think we can all agree on. The Death Of Jesus Brings Us To God, Not His Life!

If Jesus had not died on the old rugged cross we would all be doomed! The Bible says, “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin!”

Everyday we ought to get on our knees and thank God for the Blood Of Jesus!

There were many people standing around the cross as Jesus died. Some were spitting on Him and some were crying for Him. There were a faithful few that stayed until the end and most of them were women.

One disciple had betrayed Him, one had denied Him and the others were scattered to the four corners of the city trying to hide like a pack of rats.

Jesus didn’t want their sympathy, He wanted their faith, and that’s what He wants from you and me!

Mark 11:25-26, And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have a problem with anyone: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses!

Here is a condition that each individual must meet before their prayers can be heard or answered. We must realize that an unforgiving spirit will short-circuit the power of prayers.

God forgives for Christ sake and that is the way we are saved. But if you and I are going to have power in our lives, there must be forgiveness on our part.

Are you holding a grudge toward someone? Has someone said something or done something to you that has hurt you deeply? We must remember that we say and do things daily that hurt our Lord, but He’s always willing to forgive. We must work hard to become more like Jesus!

I’ve been to church and praised the Lord with my lips but deep inside my heart was not right with Him. There are times I admit, I’m an undercover christian. I sound like a christian and act like a christian but if you could cut me up and look on the inside it would amaze you what you’d find!

What I’m speaking of is nothing new. This kind of thing has been going on since man came into existence!

Our Lord says in Isaiah 29:13, “Forasmuch as this people draw near me with ther mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.”

Years back the Lord blessed me with a 650 Yamaha Classic. I love driving that machine especially during this time of year. This past Tuesday I had a hard time getting it started. When I finally got it started all it did was cut out, pop and pow. It still looked great on the outside but it drove like a piece of junk.

I took it down to my friend at Yamaha and he told me the carburator was gummed up and needed repair. He said, “let’s try to repair it  with chemicals.” He told me to go down and buy some gas treatment and put it in the tank. I did this and drove it all day but it didn’t seem like the chemicals were working.

The next day I got on it and drove a mile down the road and it stopped it’s popping and cutting out. The carburator or bad gas had suddenly disappeared because of the chemical I applied.

It’s the same way with us. Many Christians look good on the outside after they comb what little bit of hair they have or put on the war pain, but on the inside they’re all gummed up with sin.  Let’s get rid of the sin that so easily entangles us!

Jesus had been teaching the people all day in the hot sun and His disciples told Him to send the people away so that they could go into town and buy something to eat.

He told them to give the people something to eat. They said, “Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?”

You see, what Jesus is doing is commanding them to do the impossible. They must learn, as we must learn, that He always commands the impossible. The reason being is obvious. He intends to do the work!

God is the creator and we are His creation. He wants to use us as instruments to point others to Jesus. All we have to do is be obedient and willing. I must say obedient and willing people are few and far between! This parable is found in Mark 6:32-44!

Good morning. There are 15 Characteristics of a true Christian. Today I’ll share the last two with you. Let me encourage you to apply these to your own life!

A Victory – I John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

So many Christians are living a defeated life. It doesn’t have to be that way because we have victory in Jesus!

An Assurance of Immortality – John 17:3 says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

If this doesn’t excite you then your woods all wet! I know I have eternal life because I have Jesus. If  I should die today I know I’d be in the presence of the Lord. There is no greater security than that!
