Your Room!

John 14:2-3, My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

I’ve seen many beautiful homes while living on God’s green earth but none of them can compare to what God has in store for us my friends.

One room in our Father’s house will put the finest mansion on earth to shame!

It’s gonna be a perfect room made just for you in mind, prepared by the finest carpenter of all time, Jesus Christ!

I can’t even come close to wrapping my mind around it all.

We are blessed my friends. I’ll cya here, there, or in the air!

He Is Necessary!

It’s January 19th and I want to ask you a personal question Christians.

Did you get up early enough this morning to spend time with the one who gives you life and the one who can take it?

Jesus said in John 6:35….”I am the bread of life.”

He is saying that He is something necessary. We eat bread and different kinds of food to keep us going. Food is a necessity, and so is Jesus.

He is that food that keeps us going in times of trouble and doubt.

For those of us who know Him we have tasted of His goodness many times before, and we realize He’s the provider of life and all things.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Psalms 34:8

I’m Ashamed of Myself!

Habakkuk 3:17-18,

Though the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines,

though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Nothing was going right for this individual. There were no buds on the fig tree which meant there wasn’t gonna be any figs. No grapes to eat or make wine. The olive crops had failed and there were no sheep or cattle in the stalls. But this man person chose to rejoice in the Lord anyway.

Shoot folks, I moan an groan if there’s no apple juice in the fridge at times and all I’ve gotta do is get in my air conditioned car and drive a half mile and buy some at K Rogers!

God really spoke to me this morning through these two verse. To tell you the truth I’m ashamed of myself!

Be blessed my friends and remember. God promises to meet your needs and He will!

Tired!

Are you tired, weary and worn out? Does the cares of the world have you down in the dumps?

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heaven laden, and I will give you rest.”

Time Flies!

Have you ever heard the old saying, “Time Flies?”

You know, when I was a young boy and teenager it seemed like it took Christmas forever to get here. Now, it seems as soon as one Christmas comes the other one is upon us.

I don’t know why but when you get older time flies! Robin and I was in Muskogee, OK visiting Joel, Cherise, Elly and Jax after Christmas. When we got there it was pouring down rain and their roof developed a leak in one of the bedrooms.

Joel’s dad whose name is Tony came over with a tarp and some weights to cover the leak. While we stood of the roof we started talking about how time flies. I said, “Tony, it won’t be long before our bodies are in the grave and our souls will be with the Lord in heaven.” We talked about the past and some of the mistakes we had made. Oh, how

I wish I could turn back the clock and not say and do some of the things I did!

Psalms 90:12, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.” Wisdom is the Lord Jesus Christ!

Young people, let me encourage you to walk with Him daily and hopefully you’ll not make some of the stupid mistakes I did!

Hey, It’s Not So Bad Getting Old!

I was talking with a young man a few days ago about getting older. I told him there were verses in the Bible that describes how our bodies would become as we got old, but I couldn’t remember where it was located. Well, this morning I found it while I was having my Quite Time!

Eccl. 12:3, In the day when the keepers of the house (this is your arms and hands) tremble, and the strong men (the feet and the knees become weak) bow themselves, and the grinders (you lose some of your teeth) cease because they are few, and those who look out of the windows (your eyes go bad] are darkened.

The only thing it didn’t mention is losing your hair, but only of few of us do that. LOL

I’m 61 and I think I’m a pretty healthy individual. I work out 5 to 6 days a week. I can still lift quite a bit of weight and I don’t have bad feet and knees. I have lost some teeth with the help of some dentist in the past and I do have to wear glasses.

I guess I’m trying to convince myself I’m not in that bad of shape for a guy my age, but, it’s coming my friends.

The upside is this if you’re a Christian. The older you get the closer you get to seeing Jesus and that’s a PLUS!

Hey, when you think of it that way, getting old isn’t so bad after all!

What’s Right Is Wrong, And What’s Wrong Is Right!

I’m really enjoying the Book of Ecclesiastes. It says in Eccl. that folly is set in great dignity. That means a dignity has been given to sin.

Back in the day if a person got drunk and ran off the road and they had to call someone to pull them out, it was an embarrassment.

Now a days it’s called a disease!

Back in the day young people tried to hide smoking dope.

Now a days it’s legal in some states.

Back in the day when a young girl got pregnant it was an embarrassment, especially to her mom and day.

Now a days it’s called a mistake!

Look at the rioting on TV. They riot because they say a young man has been killed by a police officer. I assume it’s OK to have a peaceful riot, but does that mean it gives you the right to break into businesses and steal?

What God calls wrong our society is calling right! There’s something wrong with this picture my friends!

Good Morning America!

Good Morning America! It’s Thursday, January 7th, 2016.

What excuses did you make this morning for not getting up and spending time alone with the Lord?

Remember, the one who created you and gives you air to breath throughout the day has a desire to spend time alone with ya!

Here, there, or in the air!

Power Is A Strange Thing!

Eccl. 8:4, Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

Power is a strange thing. Some folks can have it and use it wisely and others use it in a wrong way and make themselves out to be fools.

This is what we’re seeing in our country today. President Obama has used what they call “Executive Order” to get his way while in office. Like it or not the man has been given certain power. Now, that doesn’t mean he’s using it aright, but the man does stand up for what he believes!

We as Christians need to take a stand for Jesus Christ, and the only way we can do that effectively is to stay plugged into the power of the Lord. We do this by reading our Bible’s daily, confessing sin, going to church, serving Christ and others, and giving.

In our walk with the Lord we need to be as bold as lions instead of shaking and shivering like a little kitten balled up in the corner of a house.

Give us boldness Lord to take a stand for you. Help us to tell others about a heaven to have and a hell to shun. Help us to make the right decisions as we walk with you throughout the day. Decisions that will bring honor and glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Amen

Should We Fear God?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

I had a fellow tell me one time that we shouldn’t fear God. Well, I don’t agree with the man.

To tell you the truth, I don’t fear God enough. If I did I wouldn’t do, say and think some of the things I do, say and think.

It’s true, God is loving, merciful and kind but He is a God that should be feared my friends!
